Writing About The Natural World Around You
- Go somewhere into the natural world (the more natural the better) – for at least 30 minutes, but should be an hour or more;
- Have no agenda
- You CANNOT have your cell phone on (although you can have it with you if you are concerned with safety) no exceptions
- Explore, play, loiter, do anything, something or nothing;
- You can be alone, with another classmate, or anybody you want.
- Write an essay explaining:
- What you thought about the assignment before you did the activity? (this should be written before you do the activity)
- What you did?
- How the activity did, or did not match your expectations?
- What you gained from it, if anything.
