Writing a formal query letter

Write a formal query letter to ProQuest editor with a full explanation about the project and outcomes. The goal is to write to the editor to explain the project outcomes and determine if he or she would be interested in reviewing the completed manuscript. These are the items that should be addressed as you write your letter: • Keep it brief, one page if possible. • Use a formal tone and address your letter to the editor by name. • Mention why you selected this journal and how the content would be of interest to their readers. • Describe the project and outcomes and explain the importance of the findings to DNP practice and nursing.
