Write up of the movie Memento

Description Your Task (What your Write-Up should include): After watching Memento (maybe more than once!), consider its narrative structure. Why do you think Christopher Nolan has arranged the plot of the film as he does? Is the film's structure just a gimmick, or does it serve to enhance some of the themes of the film? What are some of the themes of the film? How does the disorientation that audiences feel when watching the film serve Nolan's goals? Does he want simply to confuse the audience? Or is there something deeper and more meaningful behind this decision? What your Write-Up should not include: a review (don’t tell us whether or not you liked the film – at all) a biography of the director or actors or a synopsis of what the director/actors say in the “Director’s Cut” of the film the use of any research Grading Criteria - I will be looking for these elements when grading your Write-Up: The use of specific examples from the film to support your claims. Incorporation of some of the terms discussed in Chapter 4. A minimum of 600 words (about 2+ pages) A heading that includes the name of the film, the year, and the name of the director
