It is interesting how much variability there is across people in terms of their views of getting older. Some fear it, others only dread it, others look forward to their easy-going retirement years, still others ignore the idea completely.In 1994, Miss Alabama was asked the following question during the Miss USA contest:If you could live forever, would you, and why (or why not)? To which she answered:“I would not live forever, because we should not live forever, because if we were supposed to live forever, then we would live forever, but we cannot live forever, which is why I would not live forever.
If you could live forever (without having to worry about the physical declines normally associated with aging), would you, and why (or why not)?(I hope you can respond to this question better than Miss Alabama did!)

Give  two responses on theses paragraphs.

I’d have to answer the posed question with no.  I do not believe I would want to live forever for the fact of loved ones passing on and I would still be inhabiting the earth for it’s eternity.  Of course the beneficial side would be living long enough to hopefully see cures to modern day diseases such as cancer and so on.  I’m sure being able to live forever would give someone a chance to access a vast array of futuristic technology that has not been developed yet.
There was an interesting article posted on a web site that discussed a certain California hedge fund manager attempting to calculate the probability of people living past humanities expected maximum life of 120 years.  He believes it may be possible to solve aging and crack the “code” of life (http://www.theguardian.com/science/2015/jan/11/-sp-live-forever-extend-life-calico-google-longevity).  Maybe this could be possible if we all exercised and followed a daily healthy diet, but then again there are always unforeseen variables of disease complications even in healthy humans.  All this aside, living long enough to see our children grow up and become successful in life all the while we sit back and enjoy a happy retirement until our 90’s is sufficient enough for me without the thought of living forever.

Personally I don’t honestly know that I owuld want to live forever. I don’t believe in outliving my useful years and really I don’t know that I would want to be around for the end of the world, or the next ice age. I am all bout being in colder climates, but I don’t think I would want to be around to experience the cycles the earth takes. If we were all able to live forever, and no one died on a regular basis ( I know that sounds terrible) the world would become that much more overpopulated then it is. Resources would run out, living situations would be even poorer then they already are in some regions. I don’t think Earth would be able to handle the stress of that many people. Not to mention I wouldn’t want to live in that world where everything is already worse then it is. Even if I was the only the person given this oppertunity, I wouldn’t want to outlive my family, loved ones, friends. It would get lonely and to tiresome trying to make new friends every time.
On the flip side though it would be really cool to see and experience the world as it changes. Be able to see the new technologies that generations create. Be aorund for flying cars, all that futuristic  stuff movies tell us about. I think it would be really cool to meet new people, experience how the world changed.
Utimately though I would have to say that no I would not choose to live forever.
