Now explain, using recommended and additional literature and resources, the benefits of collaboration among adults and with students in the classroom. Elaborate on the opportunities for creating a productive, inclusive, and safe leaming environment that encourages positive adult-adult, adult-student and student-student interactions, and describe how collaboration helps appreciate and reflect diversity, multiple perspectives, and cultural responsiveness, as well as develop positive relationships within a class. Focus specifically on collaboration and co-teaching as a means to increase the effectiveness of leaming outcomes for all students. Identify ways to overcome barriers for collaboration and co-teaching, such as individualism, conflict of interests, competition, differences of opinions and leaming styles.
