Women poets in post-war America

Use the poetry of Sylvia Plath and Adrienne Rich to examine the ways in which women poets in post-war America were beginning to explore their own lives as women and as poets. In what ways were they expanding the subject matter of poetry? In what ways did they explore new poetic techniques, themes, or attitudes? You should discuss both poets, but you may select which and how many of Plath's poems you wish to analyze.The essay must be 8-10 pages long, typed in MLA format, and include a Works Cited section. The Works Cited page is not included in the minimum page requirement. The essay must also include at least four critical sources that comment directly on the stories or authors. Along with these, the essay may also include sources from fields such as history, sociology, economics, and other areas that help develop your investigation
