Continuing with Coffee and Toffee as your small business, develop a basic mobile device and usage policy. Access the Unit VII assignment template to develop your policy. You can use the sample policy in the text to help you, but remember, your small business is not a large corporation, so you will need to develop a policy to meet your small business needs. Coffee and Toffee has less than 25 employees and outsources its information technology (IT) services. The company uses order management software for managing accounting, customer data, sales, stock, and shipping. Coffee and Toffee issues company-owned iPad tablets to employees for work use only. Your employees use the mobile tablets to conduct the tasks below.

1. Tablets are used for in-store orders. When customers order from their table, the waiter will record the order on the mobile tablet. The order is then sent wirelessly to the register at the main counter to be filled. The waiter picks up the completed order from the counter and delivers it to the customer. The customer can pay via the mobile device with a swipe of his or her digital wallet or debit/credit card. Mobile payments are sent wirelessly to the register, but cash payments will need to be completed at the counter register.
2. Tablets are used for shipping orders. A customized tracking system is used to manage the dispatch and delivery of products ordered by customers. Freshly ground coffee, beans, and toffee can be delivered to local homes and businesses. The mobile tablet is used by the delivery person to track the order on and off the truck via smart labels. These smart labels track the product from pickup to delivery and tell the driver where the product needs to be delivered. Once delivered, the driver will mark the product as having arrived at its destination, and the order is completed.
