What is the purpose of the U.S.-Mexico border?
1) Formulate preliminary questions and issues that will guide you in your final paper. 2) Formulate a tentative purpose, thesis, and rationale for your project. 3) Select a minimum of five (5) primary objects of analysis (texts, empirical evidence, data, etc.). These primary objects of analysis must demonstrate attention to interdisciplinarity. 4) Select a minimum of two (2) scholarly sources from the assigned readings in LBS 4900. These scholarly sources must be appropriate for the primary objects of analysis under investigation. 5) Generate an appropriate list of search terms (including keywords, synonyms, and related terms) that will be used while conducting research on scholarship appropriate for the chosen topic and primary sources. 6) Provide an overview of the investigative methods and information retrieval systems that will be used while conducting the research, along with a timeline. 7) Self-reflexively discuss and analyze your identification with the objects of study. 8) Outline the theoretical model(s) and/or methodology that will be used in the final paper.
