1) Discuss the government of the Roman Republic. How did it function? What positions were there, and how long did people serve? How did it change over time? Do you think it was a fair system? Were there problems with the system? OR 2) Describe the fall of the Roman REPUBLIC (NOT the Empire). What factors caused the gradual decline of democracy and representative government in Rome? Who were some of the important figures, and what role did they play?
