This week will begin with a brief history of healthcare information seeking.
We will review the project assignment which is the main assignment for this course and worth 300 points. You will work on your project assignment throughout each week of the course.

Overview
This week we will further learn about what information seeking really is. We look at Information fields, channels and carriers. We discover what they are, how they affect information seeking and why we need to understand them.

Week 4 we begin a deeper look into information carriers. We will focus specifically on channel selection and usage.

Overview
We have looked at several models of information seeking including the CMIS and HBM. This week we go further into our understanding of these models and we investigate others. We go into a deeper dive into models of information seeking. We will review the main models used today. Additionally we will try to review them with an intention to identify which ones best meet the need of the consumer along with which method has a built in process for iterate for unmet information needs.

Week 10 is when we sum up all that we have reviewed in this course so far. The goal is for this to lead us to better forming of our search questions. Better questions should help to achieve better more accurate results. Our questions become more 'searchable'. We can also take those outcomes and view them in meaningful ways.
