Wechsler intelligence scales

Write two separate response to the discussions base on the article below
1." Subjects were stratified on the basis of Wechsler intelligence scales, which give a standardized ‘intelligence
quotient’ (IQ) based on subtests assessing verbal and non-verbal knowledge and reasoning"
One question I had was how universal could the IQ test used to be considered? I share similar concerns as
Lauren, intelligence varies between cultures and can be influenced by access to resources. For the purpose of
this study, the IQ test was used to provide an operational definition of intelligence. However, could these
findings be applied to the general public based on just using this one test?

  1. "full-scale IQ was estimated from four subtests"
After last week's readings, I plan to start questioning research more than I accept it. Though I don't have much
knowledge on the topic of this study or what would be considered the "correct" methods, I am wondering if the
participants were tested for IQ more than once. Is IQ likely to dramatically change over a shorter period of
    time?
