Wagner’s writings

Otto Wagner famously stated that “new purposes must give birth to new methods of construction, and by this
reasoning also to new forms.” Using Wagner’s writings along with Fabiani’s interpretation of Wagner’s
influence, and his Post Office Savings Bank of 1904 as evidence, do you believe Wagner has effectively (and
convincingly) articulated a “new form” of architecture, either in his words, or in his building? Refer to specific
sections in the texts AND the elements of the Post Office to support your argument. (3-4-paragraph minimum)
