Introduction
For leaders in healthcare, strategic analysis is a crucial tool for staying aware of both internal conditions and external environments. Without a strong understanding of both, leaders can make decisions that work in theory but not very effectively in the real world. In this assessment, you will create a succinct and thorough analysis of the internal and external environment for a medical center. You will be presented with a simulation in which a CFO of a medical center is working on strategic planning and needs more information about the current state of this facility as well as external market conditions that affect its competitiveness. This report should help stakeholders understand the importance of understanding the environment in which the organization operates. Additionally, it should clearly lay out an analysis of the internal and external environments and apply one or more strategic frameworks to analyze the environment and raise operational considerations.
Scenario
This assessment is based around the following media simulation. Be sure you have completed this activity before completing this assessment.
• Vila Health: Strategic Analysis and Operational Considerations.
