Utilitarianism

What, in your own words, is utilitarianism?

Full Answer Section

It's all about the outcomes or consequences. If an action leads to more overall happiness, well-being, or benefit for the most individuals affected, while minimizing suffering or harm, then it's considered the morally right choice. It requires a kind of "moral math" where you try to weigh the positive and negative effects of different choices on everyone involved.

Sample Answer

In my own words, utilitarianism is an ethical framework that suggests the best action or decision is the one that produces the greatest good for the greatest number of people.
