Use of the primary sources

Description

What can this object tell us about the civilization in which it was created?

The paper should begin with a strong argumentative thesis paragraph. The evidence will, of course, be partly the object. It is a primary source. But you will also put this object into conversation two other primary sources that I include below or in the file drop.

Think about how you might use this object to say something interesting about ancient Egypt.

Using the “How to Read Primary Sources” handout, analyze this primary object source.

Use the information given in the museum description as well as your own analytical and inferencing skills.
It is possible that you might not be able to answer every question on the handout.
DO NOT copy and paste text.
Note what similarities, differences, and/or connections you see between this source and your object.

Once you have three primary sources and have thought about how they are related to one another, you can think with a motivated question that will guide the argument of your paper.
What sorts of themes seemed to be important to us in class when we talked about the civilization you are discussing. Draft an answer to this question. This answer, based on your three primary sources, will be your thesis.

The object is a funerary mask from the New Kingdom. An image and desсrіption are in the file drop.
I have provided the 2nd primary source (The Book of the Dead) in the file drop and the 3rd source (Netherworld Books https://www.jstor.org/stable/j.ctv75d822) is the jstor link. No word count requirement.
