All of the designs on this checklist were discussed in Lab 10 on 10/29 (see your notes in Packet 1 for Research Designs covered in Lab 10)
For each of your studies (i.e., your meta-analysis and your 2 RCTs), check all the boxes that apply to describe the types(s) of design used. Some studies will have only one design (e.g., No Treatment vs CBT) whereas others may have utilized more than one design (e.g., COMP and MOD) and/or multiple groups (e.g., CBT, WL, and COMP). We are happy to help you work through the designs of your studies!

After each term below, we indicated whether these types of study designs are common or uncommon across literatures.
No Tx = No Treatment – (fairly common – WL much more common)
WL =Wait list (common)
AP = Attention Placebo - sometimes called nonspecific treatment/supportive therapy (fairly uncommon)
TAU = Treatment As Usual - sometimes called standard or routine treatment (common)
Comp = Comparative-treatment strategy (common)
Disman = Dismantling strategy - sometimes the word components will be used instead of dismantling (fairly uncommon)
Additive = Additive strategy (fairly uncommon)
Mod = Treatment-moderator strategy (becoming more common)
Med = Treatment-mediator strategy (fairly uncommon)
