Theory of International Relations

The paper will consist of an argument for why a particular theory ought to be applied
to study a particular problem or set of phenomena in global politics. The paper should
argue for one of the following theories: Marxist IR, Critical Theory, The English School,
Constructivism, Feminist IR theory, Post-colonialism, Post-structuralism, or Green IR
theory. First, the paper should introduce the intellectual background (the history) of
the theory. Second, the paper should discuss two central concepts of the theory. In part
three of the paper, you should apply the two concepts to an appropriately chosen
empirical (real-world) case.
The title of the paper is: Why is (insert name of theory) relevant to understanding
(insert the problem, or set of phenomena)?
