The use of the BROM instrument o measure patients with back pain

Our group is going to study the use of the BROM instrument o measure patients with back pain, and the effectiveness and reliability of this measurement
method.

BROM devices measure flexion, extension, rotation, lateral flexion and pelvic tilt. It does this using
inclinometers and magnets (in the final project we can maybe describe how those work to be able to get
measurements). BROM devices also eliminate a number of common errors of using just an inclinometer.
Goniometers also take similar measurements as the BROM device but I think BROM devices are more
effective because of the technology used and if we focus on back and spinal ROM the BROM device is more
specific to that issue where goniometers are for measuring angles for any joint or angle.
