The mastery of your discipline

Purpose: Demonstrate the mastery of your discipline and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders using scholarly communications.

Description: Reminder per the Capstone Manual – “More evidence does not necessarily boost a student’s grade.” Students must ensure they edited the Evidence 1-3 to a “C” “satisfactory” level per the grading rubric before considering adding additional evidence to their ePortfolios. Evaluators will not grade or assess Evidence 4 or 5 if a student did not meet minimum criteria on Evidence 1-3. Remember, more evidence does not contribute or enhance a student’s grade unless the student first meets the minimum criteria on all required elements.

If you decide to have a 5th piece of evidence, choose and refine it to demonstrate your mastery of the program learning outcomes. Ensure the evidence you select matches the evidence you named by title in your Milestone & Evidence Planner. The pieces of evidence you choose must be representative of the type of product you would share with professional peers and potential strategic security employers as work of which you can be proud. Ensure each piece is evidence of your mastery of the specific program learning outcomes by editing and enhancing those areas that represent those PLOs. Improve all elements of organization, content, writing mechanics, APA in-text, parenthetical, and references, and specific discipline vocabulary and language. You may resubmit the artifact into the Turnitin Assignment area as often as you need throughout the course so you can use TII to create the edited version of the artifact you will add to your ePortfolio. This is a revision assignment.
