The kinship project

The kinship project asks you to draw a kinship chart of your family covering three generations. Ego should be in the middle generation, and you must extend to the chart out to first cousins in the Eskimo system. The chart must include a generation above and below the cousins as well as ego’s family line (assuming they exist). Label the individuals in your chart A, B, C, etc. Include the chart when you hand in your assignment. Under your chart, answer the following questions:

1) using an Eskimo kinship system, list all people considered ego’s aunt;

2) in the Eskimo system, list all of the people who are Ego’s second cousin;

3) in an Iroquois kinship system list all of the individual’s who are Ego’s brothers;

4) if ego were in the Hawaiian system, list all of the individuals who would be called mother;

5) in a Crow kinship system, list all individuals who would be called father.
