The conversation on how social media affects teen has been challenging to split, in this essay, I'll be discussing the positive impact social media has on young Adults.

Social media plays a huge role in recent teen culture. Surveys show that ninety percent of teens 13-17 have used social media. Seventy five percent report having at least one active social media profile, and 51% report visiting a social media site at least daily. Two thirds of teens have their own mobile devices with internet capabilities. With smartphones and multiple social media accounts, it is no surprise that teens are online almost nine hours a day, not including time for homework. While some teens use social media to do bad things like cyberbullying, stalking, and pornography, for many young adults, social media is a tool to bring awareness to a cause they are interested in. During the pandemic, social media helped teens be more creative or discover new skills. Social media has become an avenue to learn, start a business and grow.
