The impact of HIV research on medical facilities

There have been significant advancements in the medical treatment of HIV/AIDS since the early 1990's. There
have been improvements in methods of treatment. This includes preventative medication, at home
administration of treatment, improved standard of care in hospital settings, and just an improved sense of
respect for patients.
The movie Philadelphia provides a unique insight to the state of healthcare architecture as it relates to the
HIV/AIDS epidemic in the early 90’s. There's a medical scene around 5:43 where the main character and other
HIV patients are receiving treatment in a hospital and a doctor comes in to speak with the main. Write a 1500
word narrative describing what you observed and relate it to the overall development and the theory of medical
infrastructure.
