Sample Answer
I do support the idea that intelligence is central to everything that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) does. The DHS was created in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and its primary mission is to prevent future attacks on the United States. In order to do this, the DHS needs to have a good understanding of the threats that the United States faces, both foreign and domestic. This understanding comes from intelligence gathering and analysis.
