What role did the decline of the Ottoman Empire play in the events of the early twentieth century?
-Using the thesis and annotated bibliography, students will craft a 1,000 to 1,500 word research article that seeks to prove the stated thesis using at least three secondary and two primary sources. (The sources were chosen before, please see the uploaded annotated bibliography)

Thesis: The decline of the Ottoman Empire and the loss of all the territories in Europe that are in the Empire’s possession, brought the Young Turk Revolution in 1908 which included the loss of Serbia to Austria-Hungary. Thus, these events contributed to the coming of World War I.
