The Buffalo Soldier National Museum

Visit the Buffalo Soldier National Museum and African American Library and explain their experience. Trace the progression of African American soldiers in the United States military to the present, 2019. Discuss museum's military memorabilia, and interview one of the employees about their role, and how has worked at the facility changed their perspective of African American military history in the United StatesSecond, review the Buffalo Soldier's online database and examine their occupations/skills and place of birth and enlistment. Are there any soldiers who reside in the same hometown, city, or state as your family, and last, how do you perceive African American veterans and service personnel in the future? Third, trace the progression of Houston's former slave and Black community and how we have impacted the city's economic, social, education, and political success. The library focuses on Houston's Black community. It is the city's first library to showcase African American history and culture.
