Directions
Choose a film from the list and write a paper following the criteria below.
There is a research element to this assignment, especially when it comes to the historical and cultural context, but you may find you need to do more research on other parts of this paper, and that's great.
I want you to be thoughtful and thorough in this paper. You will be using what you have learned throughout this course to do a deep analysis of your chosen film.
A reminder of the Midterm Paper Movie List Critical Analysis:

Are they know for this kind of film, or is this a different style for them? Is the director an Auteur? Were the actors in the film considered “stars”? Context (20 pts)
Write about the historical context of the film. What was happening in the film at the time?
What about in general society?
