Write a short paper (2 pages) on how to implement Test of Hypothesis(use ANOVA method, if result not same please use LSD to complete analyse ). Select a variable from your own life experience(Minimum 2 Variable). Develop an outline on how to implement the experiment in real life. The variable must be an actual variable and the paper must be at the MBA level. No data need to be gathered, however, specific assumption such as confidence interval, acceptable error, expected standard deviation must be specified in order to calculate the sample size. No textbook problem will be accepted, and will result in an F in the paper.
KEY POINT: Use ANOVA first, if not same use LSD to carry on the analyse. 2 Variable Minimum.
The recommended structure of the paper is:
1- Introduction: What is the issue to be investigated by the paper and why it is important.
2- Population: Describe the population and the important characteristics that may make a difference on which sampling approach to follow.
3- Statement to investigate and Null Hypothesis: What is the variable & hypothesis that will be testes. The variable must be numeric.
4- Sample & Sampling Characteristics: What is the size of sample, and how is the sample going to be selected from the population. (This section is similar to the same section in the first paper)
5- Hypothesis and how to perform the test: Assume that the sample has been collected, how does one develop an estimate of the range of the value of the variable.
A former student wrote a paper on whether Amazon meets its two day delivery for its prime customers or not. The paper consisted of the following sections: (please release that you must complete each section based on what you are measuring. For example sample size and how the test will be performed.
Introduction: During these days, online sales increased by many folds, which caused an overload on shipping/delivery companies. As a Amazon prime member, I decided to investigate if they still execute on their delivery promise.
Population: All prime members who ordered in the last few weeks. This includes various location and since delivery time may depend on how far an area is from a warehouse as well as the frequency of orders from this area. I decided to use stratified sampling.
Variable: The variable is average duration from the order time to the receipt of order in hours.
Hypothesis: delivery duration <= 48 hours
Sampling: As previously mention (see population), the sampling selection will follow stratified random sampling. The sample size will be determine using the appropriate formula.
Test: The test formula, the test statistics and how the test will be performed.
