Strategic Planning Final Project

(THE PROBLEM SHOULD BE IN EDUCATION FIELD HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION)
The Strategic Planning Project represents an original and realistic plan students create to
address a need in an organization. The need and the organization could be real or fictitious. The
project is an opportunity to demonstrate learning and competence in strategic thinking and
planning.
Students are asked to create this project in one of the following four scenarios:
▪ Option #1: A blue ocean venture
▪ Option #2: Hired as a consultant to fix an organization
▪ Option #3: As the leader, the development of a new strategic plan for your organization
▪ Option #4: A new business, but not a ‘blue ocean’ business.
Students need to approve other scenarios through the professor.
The Project should represent a realistic plan, based on the course material, and perhaps other
research as well. Sections/headings of the project must include:
• an introduction to the organization
• the problem and need
• application of strategic thinking and planning research
• a specific plan, including why this strategy was chosen
• pertinent details of each part of the plan
• how available resources can be used to fulfill this plan
• anticipated challenges
• how assessment should be implemented in the future
• a references page using APA format, submitted in Word
The project should be at least 10-12 pages in the body of the paper, Full APA format with
double-spaced writing and a minimum of 5 references (less than3 years old.) NOTE, two
important aspects of this project are:
• the project is realistic
• the project is grounded in research and some of the models described in this course.
