Familiarize yourself with the information provided in the workshop, on Canvas (in the week 4 module) and here. Remember that this annotated bibliography is the foundation for the your literature review assignment that follows (due week 9). First, recall your topic this is the topic that you took responsibility for as part of your group work in week 2. Find five papers (peer reviewed scientific articles from journals) that help illustrate the key points you want to make or show the debate in the literature around your topic. Frame the skeleton of your science narrative (or °story") by writing an informative paragraph about each of the five articles. Make sure that you put them in an order that makes sense to the reader (i.e. build your argument). Use the guides provided on Canvas to help you build your paragraphs and ensure that all your references are presented properly. Also watch for stylistic requirements — for example, write your paragraphs in the third person (again, there are guides on Canvas to assist with this). When you come to compile your literature review later in semester, you will build on this narrative by fleshing it out with more information from supporting references. Remember to keep an eye out for papers that might be useful at that later stage - you will need at least 15 references in your literature review.
