Standardized Testing

Examine one of the following types of standardized tests commonly used in Education.

1. Achievement test
2. Diagnostic Test
3. Intelligence Test
4. Aptitude Test
5. Readiness
   These are the questions you are answering for the assignment
   1) Give the name of the test and the names of the sub-sections or subtests.
   2) What is the purpose of the test? Or, how is it used by a particular school or agency?
   3) What accommodations would you suggest for students with disabilities and English Language Learners
   taking the selected test?
   4) From your inquiry and/or personal experience, give examples, from the selected test, of any assessment
   bias in terms of:
   Bias in content
   Bias in testing procedures
   Bias in test interpretation and use
6. If your students have to take this test, how do you perceive your role in terms of preparing them, making
   accommodations for cultural minorities and English Language learners, administering the test, and interpreting
   the results to the students themselves and their caregivers?
