  1. Utilize secondary market research data to summarize how sports fans currently feel about returning to live events and the appropriateness of teams/players/league advocating for social change.
    ○ Use two or more third-party market research firm reports (e.g. Morning Consult, Nielsen, Sports Innovation Lab)
  2. Using the academic research on sports fan loyalty that we discussed in class and a third article, summarize sports fan behavior by listing three themes shared across the research.
    ○ The themes should give a sense of the best way to approach the consumers with your marketing plan
  3. Utilize trade press, consumer and business press to summarize how the NHL and NBA closed out the 2019-20 season, their current thoughts on the 2020-21 season and their social justice activation during the recently completed season. For this summary please use:
    ○ Use Sports Business Journal plus two or more news article from credible sources (e.g. Wall Street Journal )
    ○ Team and league website and content
  4. Create an annotated bibliography in which you cite each resource (APA style) and – in 3 to 4 sentences - summarize its content and explain how it is relevant to the client and/or its business environment (1 sentence).
