Spiritual powerpoint

Description

Cultural/Spiritual Interview. Each student is expected to interview an elder and do a 20-30 minute interview on the volunteer’s beliefs about God, man’s purpose, hope, and how culture influences thoughts about end-of-life decision making, preparing financially and participating in medical decision making. Students are to bring and discuss the POLST form and Advance Directives form with the interviewee and note how the interviewee feels about the forms.
Students will prepare a short PPT presentation 10-15 slides that discuss some of the cultural/spiritual constructs used by the interviewee and how that shapes his/her life, self-care, and decision making. The student’s interpretation is to be informed by published literature (descriptive studies, narratives, qualitative research) on the culture of interest. The PPT presentation will be the final product with at least 3 research pieces used comparatively to the volunteer’s statements.
