Speeches

Think back to some of the speeches you have heard over the years. Consider graduation speeches, wedding reception toasts. inaugural speeches. etc. What speech mannerisms did you observe? Did any stand out as particularly distracting? If you cannot think of a speech, what about a class lecture. For example. I once had a professor who would subconsciously use his hip to push the front desk-table back and forth during his lectures. which made it incredibly difficult to focus on the presentation.
Now consider what speech mannerisms that you engage in that others might find distracting. List those you would like to work on.
How do you plan to change these behaviors in the future?
