Speech Critique

I am going to attach the critique instructions in a file. STEP 1: View a videotaped speech in Module 10 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STEP 2: Label the critique with following information: Name of the speech (“How to use the library”) Type of speech: sermon, lecture, after dinner speech, comedian Occasion of the speech (class lecture, wedding, church service, club meeting, campaign for SGA) __________________________________________________________________________________ STEP 3: Write a critique that addresses the following: Content: Provide a brief summary of the content. What was the purpose? (To inform, persuade, entertain) What was the specific purpose? Delivery: Non-vocal delivery (consider eye contact, dress, mannerisms. . . ) Vocal delivery (vocal pauses, projection, volume, rate . . .) Organization: What type of organization was used? Was it effective? Physical Setting: Lighting, room size, room set up, seating, sound…. Audience Demographics (chapter 6) and Audience Response: Overall effectiveness. Were you persuaded? Informed? Was the message clear? What did the speaker do well? How could the speaker improve the speech? _________________________________________________________________________________ Use the following guidelines for format and length. TYPE the critique using a font no larger than 14. The critique should be 2 to 3 pages double spaced. Label each area (Content, Organization, Delivery, etc….) and write at least a paragraph for each area.
