Description
Have you ever had anybody tell you that they were envious of you? Always happy to be in your company? Thought you were lucky? Thought you were crazy? Mad at you? Or maybe you were the one to do the talking.
In a few sentences, briefly describe an interpersonal experience that left a strong impression on you (surprised, elated, shocked, upset, puzzled, pleased). Maybe there was only an exchanges of actions and looks, without any words spoken!! The interaction could have been with a friend, family member, co-worker, or even someone at random, such as in a store.
Thinking back on it now, how much of the interaction was the result of your own mood, feelings, and circumstances? Were you feeling stressed, impatient, argumentative even before the interaction occurred, or were you floating along, happy, enjoying the moment?
Describe or remember the mood of the other person, according to your view.
What non-verbal influences can you recall – yours and/or theirs?
Do you think the meanings you assigned/received from the interaction were the same as the meanings the other person got?
What do you think about the whole interaction now, at this point in time?
