Sociolinguistic Study of Media Language

Select a sociolinguistic variable and/or sociolinguistic topic of
interest, and you will examine patterns of variation across a dataset that you create. The type of
data that you select is up to you: the only requirement is that the data have their origins in some
type of publicly available media language.
Your final paper should reflect the highest standards of academic writing, and should take the
form of a manuscript which could be submitted for publication to a sociolinguistic journal (i.e.,
APA 7 formatting and referencing, careful proofreading and editing, subsections corresponding to
IMRD ( INTRO, METHOD, RQ, DISCUSSION , RESULT, CONCLUSION)format< FOLLOW THIS , a clear and cogent argument, thoughtfully-presented analysis)15 pages; (exclusive
and references).

My project ( use the attached sources )
The idea of my work in this project is to invistigate , why Saudi Male start using the word"family" in saudi society to use it as a reference for their female family member " so instead of saying I'm heading home with my sister " he would say I'm heading home with my family. during the 70's , Saudi society were more open and can refer to their female memebers by their names, but t during 80's untill the first 20 century , they start using this word instead of saying their female memeber names. even though it's not religiously restricted even royal saudi males use their nams not family. I used 30 examples from tweeer as an example how do they employ this word. I also adapted "dude" survey made by Kesiling (2009) to edit some information regarding this phenomena.
how I'm going to analysis the data of open ended question in the survey accoding to three themes: they use it as a tradition/ closeness of the person they talking to / ephouriasm ( due to shyness or jealousy)/ marker has no meaning/ depends on the person they are talking to (strange/close), they dont use it at all. the attached is my original paper , my template
My primarydata:
1-30 twitter examples written in arabic to show how saudi males use the work family instead of calling their female members with their names. introduce a table for the examples within the introduction and i will translate them there just include the example table.
2- data collection for testing the hypothesis ( main data collection) survey

( To analysis the survey responds I've attached a spreedsheet (excel) translated to english Started from B is q1, C is Q2 and so on.
Adapted survey from "dude" survey by Kesling 2009 in order to invistagte the rational behind using the word family to refer to female. I will attach a tranlated in English about my survey to help you with the analysis ( analysis it thematically based on the reasons).
Explain a back ground information about dude survy when introduce it and how i adapt it to refer to the word family instead of dude( the survey will be attached with the article at the end).

I need the paper written according to a hight prestiguis journals that accepts sociolinguistics projects with APA7 style

You job
