- What is the general topic that you are writing about?
- Why is this topic important? What type of paper are you writing (hint: it's a literature review)?
- What question do you aim at answering in your literature review?)
• Body - This is your actual literature review. Structure the body in differently themed sub-headings. You can either review one reading after another or you can compare and contrast several readings under one sub-heading.
- When you summarize your reading, ask the following questions: (a) What topic is the reading about? (b) What specific question is the author trying to answer? (c) What are the author's main findings/argumentations?)
• Conclusion - Briefly but concisely summarize what you have found in your literature review. Compare, contrast, and critique the sources.
- Provide an outlook: Why are these findings important? What questions to they raise (for you, for society, for research, etc.)?
