Social Work Populations and Fields of Interest

So far, this course has examined several different populations served through social work, including children, adolescents, and adults. Special populations include those with mental illness, those with health issues, the disabled, the elderly, and the dying as well as those in prison and those in the military. Which age group are you drawn to work with? What areas are of particular interest to you? You may draw upon your shadowing experience, if it applies. Utilize the textbook, presentations, and/or scholarly articles to further discuss roles within your particular field(s) of interest.
