Social Problems
Go to the following website: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/poisonedwaters/ This is a
Frontlines Report and it's about 1 hr 50 min. long. It's best to view the report in its entirety
but you may not need to watch the entire thing. At least watch the first 35 minutes or so and that
will get you through the discussions of the poultry industry where at least two key social
structures are discussed. Then you'll be able to adequately address the questions below. Explain
some of the ?structural? sources or barriers to clean water. This does not mean chemicals in the
water or deadzones where the lack of oxygen kills everything. Those would be considered biological
or environmental factors. I want you to identify and explain the role of social structure.
Requirement: 1-2 pages, double space, 12 pt font, and attach with doc, .docx, .docm, .ppt, .pptx,
.odt, .txt, .rtf, .pdf, and .html file formats only. If you're interested in reading about Indian
River by a local biologist and other sources for conservation, then use the links below. This part
is not required. http://indianriverkeeper.org ; http://saveourseas.com/
