In this project our proposal is a central kitchen with a rough information in the file below. This operating model is very popular in China. Attached below is a ppt for the first proposal. Our specialty is engineering budgeting. The preliminary drawings of the plan are inside the ppt. A simple CAD OR revit drawing may be required.

BUILDING ECONOMICS
1.0 SCENARIO
1.01 Role
You have been appointed as Cost Consultants and Project Managers for the work involved in a
development. The scheme is a speculative development for future sale and/or lease.
The site plan shows existing property, roadways/entrance. Your appointment has been a direct one
from the client.
1.02 Information available

2.00 CLIENT
2.01 Clients Background
The client has extensive experience within the construction and/or development industries. They are
looking to try something innovative and pursue modular construction methods in order to ensure a
fast track method of construction is adapted.
3.00 TASKS
3.01 Procurement
Prepare a developer’s budget and/or cost plan (as you see fit) for your proposed development. You
may be required to revise and update your costs based on client approval/changes. Your costs
should include for but are not limited to: -
• All necessary site clearance
• Site investigation reports
• Demolition and removal (if applicable)
• Contributions and Utility/Connection fees
• Professional Fees
• VAT
• Site acquisition costs (client owns the proposed site)
• Proposed development costs
You are also expected to advise the client on the most economical development proposal including
the most appropriate form of contract and procurement route for your proposed development.
3.02 Outline Plans
You are required to draft outline plans (and revise as necessary) for your proposed development.
Plans are not required to contain all design details but must contain enough information to allow
your client reach a decision and planners make recommendation.3.03 Programme
Prepare an overall master programme for the job in bar chart format from inception to completion
of the works indicating key dates and resource allocations. You programme must highlight the start
and completion of each phase (pre-contract, contract and post contract).
3.04 Issues
When considering your proposed development, you are expected to give thought to key issues that
may arise and how you propose to deal with them.
Example: -
• Planning implications
• Socio-economic issues
• Health and Safety in surrounding areas
• Dublin County Council (zoning, part v)
• Surrounding buildings and businesses.
4.00 PRESENTATIONS
Each team will present their proposal and budget costings, presentations should not exceed 10
minutes. One team member must present but all team members must contribute during the
question and answer session. Following this presentation and proposal students will be advised on
changes, if any, prior to proceeding with their overall project.
The final project will be presented by each team, you are allowed 15 – 20 minutes to present your
approved proposal to the “client”. Each team member must contribute to the delivery and
preparation of the presentation and a diary of individuals’ contribution to work must be submitted.
It is essential that each task is done by the team as a whole so that all members are involved in all of
the tasks. (Date TBA)
5.00 SUBMISSIONS
All work is to be typed to a uniform format and any drawings, charts or diagrams must be computer
generated. You are expected to submit minutes of your in-team meetings outlining your agenda, it is
expected that the chairperson and secretary for these meetings will operate on a rotating basis.
