Describe the sentences and diction of one sample of your group's chosen genre. Your description should allow your reader to experience the language and recognize language patterns in your chosen sample genre. This will include quoting text from your sample (and citing it), pointing out repetitions of words or word patterns (and again quoting as evidence), noting unique or key word choices, detailing sentence structures and again noting patterns and variations within the genre sample. The goal here is to practice describing evidence concretely--that is, "show, don't tell" your reader how the language (text) functions in the genre.
This should be formal writing with few to no errors and clear, efficient prose. It can be a single paragraph, or you can consider adding paragraph breaks if that makes sense for your writing.
