Self Assessment of Business Communication

Based on your initial language diagnostics self-assessment (see attached), and in combination with new content learning, write a personal account of how your knowledge has expanded. Here are some questions you may consider: Are you more confident in your writing abilities? Have your reading skills sharpened? Have you become more aware of communication in action and different communication contexts at work? Have you learned how to revise your writing before publishing? Have you gained better understanding of how to correctly conduct and cite research for and in professional written products? Have you gained improved understanding of the differences between a memo and a letter as used in the professional context?
Write a one-page, single-spaced narrative of about 3-4 paragraphs; you need to identify business communication concerns and theories that you learned that clarified and/or corrected your earlier general ideas about communication or writing.
