Resisting evil

A fundamental topic is how we resist evil. Most people would agree that the use of violence for selfish reasons is itself evil, but violence might be used to resist evil. But there is a wide variety of opinions on this, as we have seen in course readings and discussion. The assignment in this essay is for you to articulate your opinions and conclusions about the best, most effective, and legitimate ways of resisting evil.
