Things to Watch For Notice how they are portrayed (especially compared with white men) and who supports or fails to support them. Are there any barriers by the government or courts? Are the women stereotyped? Are people of color stereotyped? Do their characters defy stereotypes? Is there unity between all the women? It might be a good idea to choose one to three specific scenes to discuss for your essay. These can be scenes that demonstrate or contradict what you have learned about women and people of color and work broadly and resistance specifically. 3) Essay Requirements are Explain if the film provides a stereotypical portrayal of women/people of color and their activism?
