Research Article Analysis

Research Article Analysis find a good quantitative study in education (related to students, teachers, leadership, technology…) not qualitative.  The article should be online because I need to get the link from you to give it to the professor. The data should not be very complicated and not very easy and the article should contain three figures tables or more The journal article should be no less than 10 pages also from 2005 to 2015.  You will seek out a piece of quantitative research from the educational literature for you to read, interpret, and critique. There are questions should be answered after reading the article. Please note that although many of these questions suggest a “yes/no” response, your responses should be backed up with text from the chosen article. Further, the following questions should be treated as guidelines and should not be viewed as being exhaustive of the questions that you should or will consider and answer in your analysis. 1-    Please provide an introduction. 2- By way of a summary, in addition to wrapping up your analysis, please answer :1- why you chose the article you did, 2- what general impressions you have of the article are, 3- and to what extent your chosen article addresses the content and statistical concepts of this course. (I am taking a course called statistic in education, I will put the syllabus in the last page to see what related to the course). 3- please answer these questions: Title for the Study: 1. Does it reflect the variables under study? 2. Does it express either a comparison among groups or a relationship among variables? 3. Does it convey the participants and site for the study? Problem Statement 1. Does it indicate an educational issue to study? 2. Has the author provided evidence that this issue is important? 3. Is there some indication that the author located this issue through a search of past literature or from personal experiences? 4. Does the research problem fit a quantitative approach? 5. Are the assumptions of the study consistent with a quantitative approach? Review of the Literature 1. Are the studies about the variables clearly reviewed? 2. Does the review end with how the author will extend or expand the current body of literature? 3. Does the study follow the American Psychological Association style? Purpose, Hypotheses, and Research Questions 1. Does the author specify a purpose statement? 2. Is the purpose statement clear, and does it indicate the variables, their relationship, and the people and the site to be studied? 3. Are either hypotheses or research questions written? 4. Do these hypotheses or questions indicate the variables and the participants in the study? 5. Does the purpose statement and hypotheses or research questions contain the major components that will help a reader understand the study? 6. Has the author identified a theory or explanation for the hypotheses or questions? Data Collection 1. Does the author mention the steps taken to obtain access to people or sites? 2. Is a rigorous probability sampling strategy used? 3. Has the author identified fair, valid, and reliable instruments to use to measure the variables? 4. Are the instruments administered so that bias and error are not introduced into the study? Data Analysis and Results 1. Are the statistics chosen for analysis consistent with the research questions, hypotheses, variables, and scales of measurement? 2. Is the unit of analysis appropriate to address the research problem? 3. Are the data adequately represented in tables and figures? 4. Do the results answer the research questions and address the research problem? 5. Are the results substantiated by the evidence? 6. Are generalizations from the results limited to the population of participants in the study? Writing 1. Is the structure of the overall study consistent with the topics addressed in a quantitative study? 2. Are educational and social science terms carefully defined? 3. Are variables labelled in a consistent way throughout the study? 4. Is the study written using extensive references? 5. Is the study written using an impersonal point of view? 6. Is the study written appropriately for intended audience(s)? 4- Please provide a conclusion.
