For this session, you are to reflect on your clinical practice and think about areas you believe need to be
changed in order to improve patient care. You may want to discuss potential needs with others in your area of
practice to get additional perspectives. However, the most important thing is to select something that you are
really passionate about seeing changed. This reflection paper should stimulate additional thoughts for your
final capstone paper.
After your time of self-reflection, submit a brief paper that includes the following:
A concise description of the change proposal, you want to address.
Your selection process; how did you select this area for change?
Why do you want to bring about this change?
What do you hope will be the outcome for improving patient care?
How will information management be used for the change process?
Reflection papers are written in a different tone and style than scholarly papers. Reflection papers are personal

strategies for developing a good reflective paper is simply taking time to just think and reflect. You will include
more conversational language, personal experiences, and feelings in a reflective paper. However, you need to
maintain a professional and academic tone. A reflective paper should not be used to indiscriminately share
private information about others or drag others down
