We can all think of a time when someone else has pre-judged or assumed something about us unfairly or with little evidence or interaction, however as we've learned in this first sequence we're all on a continuum of ethnocentrism. For this reflection I'd like you to think through your interactions with people from different cultures, out-groups, socio-economic statuses, etc. and give an example of a time when YOU were prejudiced or assumed something about someone else unfairly. Use the concepts you feel are relevant from each chapter (1-4) and connect to all aspects of the interaction: that is what was the context? What have your previous interactions with other people from those groups been like? How has your own cultural socialization influenced how you see this 'out-group'? This should be at least 400 words in length (though I suspect you'll need more) and should be a deep reflection aided by concepts from our readings and group question analyses.
