Reading Response Paper

To this end, I expect you to come to class with 2 pages prepared reading response. Your response should present your stance in support of or against an issue, idea, or argument addressed in at least one of the readings. Your response should include at least two of the following: • Quoted passages from the readings • Critical questions about the readings - Critique of the readings - Connection between readings - Connection to readings outside of the course • Connection between reading and class discussion You will not be able to address all of the ideas, questions, and issues from one week in 2 pages, to be sure. Thus, your reflection should engage the ideas and issues that you find most compelling, relevant, and significant. The reflection should not summarize the readings but rather should demonstrate your position in response to one of these issues or ideas. Your response should demonstrate critical engagement and understanding of the topic.
