· conduct an in depth review and analysis of an assigned evaluation case provided by the instructor, and develop a paper and ppt presentation.
· Guidelines: The paper will be delivered in both hard copy and soft (electronic). Report will be written in Chicago style format with references. Estimated length will be 10 pages double-spaced not including appendices. The review and analysis of the case should aim to include as many of the following elements as possible or as applicable:
o Objective(s) of the case
o Evaluation questions driving the case
o Evaluation design (one group design, control or comparison group, quasi-experimental, experimental, etc.)
o Data collection and analysis method (e.g., survey, focus group, records analysis, interviews, etc.; qualitative content analysis, quantitative analysis, t-tests, ANOVA, ANCOVA, regression, etc.)
o Summary of results and major findings
o Reflective analysis and lessons learned (or reinforced) (NOTE: This is a critically important part of the assignment! In as much as the cases are aimed at illustrating and reinforcing the principles and concepts of various assigned readings, this paper should aim to express and illustrate the student’s understanding of the readings and how the case reinforces that understanding. In addition, the paper should aim to express how the case reinforces concepts and principles from other courses the student has taken. For example, if the case reinforces the student’s understanding of particular research or statistical methods such as correlation, t-tests, ANOVA, qualitative data analysis, etc., the paper should speak to and acknowledge those learning benefits.)
