Description
Prisons house a diverse and challenging population of inmates. There are a variety of institutions across several security levels housing either male or female inmates. Within these institutions, a culture and subcultures develop. In this paper, you are to describe these subcultures and compare and contrast the differences among male and female inmates.
1.) Describe some of the major differences between women’s and men’s prisons;
2.) Compare some of the characteristics between male and female inmates; and
3.) Discuss how the social structure in women’s prisons differ from that in men’s prisons.
4.) Examine some of the special needs of Female Inmates.
